Fintech Pricing Analyst

Job Summary: The Fintech Pricing Analyst is responsible for analyzing and determining pricing structures and strategies for a company operating in the merchant services or fintech industry. The primary focus of this role is to optimize revenue and profitability by evaluating pricing models, conducting competitive analysis, and developing pricing strategies that align with the company’s financial goals and market positioning. The Pricing Analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams, including sales, finance, product management, and marketing, to ensure pricing decisions are effectively implemented. The position reports to the CFO.

Essential Functions:

  • Pricing Analysis: Conduct a thorough analysis of pricing structures and market trends to sell our patented payment products and licensing deals. Analyze pricing data, customer segments, and product portfolios to develop pricing strategies that maximize revenue and profitability.
  • Competitive Analysis: Monitor and analyze the pricing strategies of competitors within the merchant services, SAAS and fintech industry. Stay up-to-date with market trends, industry regulations, and competitive landscape to provide insights and recommendations for maintaining a competitive edge.
  • Pricing Strategy Development: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and refine pricing strategies that align with business objectives and market conditions. Determine pricing rates, tiers, and promotional offers to enhance customer acquisition, retention, and overall revenue growth.
  • Pricing Model and Proforma Implementation: Work closely with product management, sales, and finance teams to ensure the successful implementation of pricing strategies. Develop pricing models and tools to facilitate accurate and consistent pricing decisions across different customer segments and products.
  • Pricing Optimization: Continuously evaluate pricing effectiveness by analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics. Identify areas for improvement and propose pricing adjustments to drive revenue growth and improve profitability.
  • Pricing Communication: Prepare and present pricing proposals, recommendations, and analysis to internal stakeholders, including senior management. Effectively communicate pricing strategies, changes, and rationale to cross-functional teams, sales representatives, and external partners.
  • Data Management: Gather, organize, and maintain pricing-related data and information. Ensure accuracy and integrity of pricing data to support decision-making processes and enable accurate reporting.



  • Proven experience as a Pricing Analyst or in a similar analytical role within the merchant services, SAAS, or fintech industry.
  • Five years experience as a Pricing Analyst with a minimum of two years experience in merchant services.


  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.


  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to work with complex data sets.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, pricing models, and statistical techniques.
  • Knowledge of merchant services, payments processing, or fintech industry trends and regulations.
  • Familiarity with pricing strategies and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex pricing concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or other data analysis tools.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a strong focus on accuracy and quality of work.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
