Job Summary:
AppTech is searching for a Business Development Executive to develop relationships with ISV’s, SMB, and Enterprise Level customers in multiple industries including Fintech, Technology, Payments, Home Services, Construction, Hospitality and Events, and Retail. AppTech’s differentiator is our Patent Driven products which enable businesses to seamlessly transact with one another on a recurring basis. Collaborating closely with the Director of Sales and Business Development, operations, and the product team you would be responsible for identifying, developing, and successfully closing new businesses, and launching programs with strategic partners in a timely manner.
This role will create visible and dynamic relationships with SMB, ISV, and large high-growth Fintech partners across a multitude of asset classes. Each day is different, and it is expected that this role would build an impressive network of contacts at both financial institutions and FinTech Companies across industry verticals as well as the country.
Essential Functions:
- Quickly become an expert in the Company platform’s, Payments as a Service (PaaS) and Banking as a Service (Baas) products current and future functions as well as potential capabilities. Maintain in-depth knowledge of the platform, competitive positioning, and industry trends.
- Develop a target list of SMB, ISV, Fintech firms who will become key partners or clients for future growth.
- Connect deeply into the ISV, Fintech ecosystem to build relationships and prospect key decision-makers to ensure early engagement.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with leaders across the business to identify strategies to increase pipeline and new opportunity creation.
- Screen and qualify potential targets, relationships, and partnerships by analyzing market strategies and revenue potential.
- Effectively portray the Company’s platform and its benefits to prospective partners . Identify and convert insights and prospect feedback into optimized sales processes and client lifecycle planning in Salesforce.
- Drive creation of asset sale marketing collateral templates and GTM plans based on data-driven research and platform user feedback.
- Drive implementation team to successfully execute client launches on time.
- Capture, track, and analyze all BD activities within Salesforce and turn the engagements into insights and measurable actions.
- Collect business and market intelligence to report back to sales, product, and operations teams.
- Hunter mentality on developing new business and verticals.
- Goal of building from 2 a week to 1 to 2 Discovery Calls a day.
- 25 to 40 % Travel to HQ, customer meetings, and Industry tradeshows.
Experience:
- Experience working in Payments, ISV. Fintech companies in a sales/partnerships or product development capacity.
- Experience in selling in Home Services, Construction, FinTech, Payments, Events Space, and new verticals is desirable.
- Experience managing projects with input from cross-functional teams (technical and non-technical required).
- Experience building and maintaining 200 active leads and 20 Opportunities in your pipeline.
- Greenfield experience in selling innovative technology.
- Experience selling into PaaS or BaaS preferred.
- Experience selling technology with patents desired.
- Experience with Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) preferred.
- 10 years of financial services experience and or SaaS experience,
- 3-5 years of selling experience with Integrated technology, ISV
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

- Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) preferred.
- Ability to understand complex technical ecosystems and interactions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; an ability to reduce complex concepts to digestible ones.
- Strong interest in the rapidly growing Fintech environment and desire to contribute to Fintech innovation.
- Must be a proactive self-starter and able to operate in a team environment.
- Ability to flourish in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
- Existing network of relationships with Fintech’s, community financial institutions, or both, preferred.
